Make A Candle From An Apple In 1 Minute

How to make a long-burning candle from an apple and some cooking oil. You will need an apple, vegetable or olive oil, some string/wick and a knife. Using these items we can make a nifty Christmas candle or an emergency candle for a power outage.

Pick yourself out a fine looking apple, and slowly cut a circle or square around the stem.

Unfortunately, you can’t use the apple stem as a wick, it just won’t stay lit.. so grab string or a wick.

Grab yourself some vegetable oil and pour it directly over the wick to fill up the apple. Make sure to leave some of the wick above the oil line or this simply won’t work at all.

Once the wick and oil are in place, get out a lighter and spark it up. If you did it right, it should stay lit for at least a couple hours depending on how much oil you have in inside.

A cool side note is that adding Lime Juice to the exposed apple will keep it looking fresh and prevent browning on the surface.

Having A Holiday Party?

Available for just about any moderately sized occasion, from business to baby shower, our banquet room can comfortably accommodate anywhere from 15 - 45 people. Let us take the complications out of your event, so that you may have an enjoyable evening with your guests. As our small kitchen cooks for both the front and back, with just about everything to order, for large banquets, we ask that you choose one of our banquet menus to then allow your guests to select from. This will allow for a smoother event for both your guests and for our kitchen.

While there is no fee for the banquet room, there is a $400 minimum. To reserve the room, the minimum must be placed on deposit. This allows us to book your date and time, prevents us from booking any other events for this time, and will allow us to order the proper amount from our purveyors in preparation for your special event.

Wi-Fi, projector, and screen along with teleconference connection available for a fee. Please inquire if you are interested in any of these.

Taryn Cross Will Be Rockin' Fuso's This Friday Night!

Friday September 4th 7:00-10:00pm

The story continues...from a beginning in the Pacific North West to the Coast of California...this Nashville Recording Artist is back after a short break to work on new music and a fresh sound. The musical direction of Taryn Cross (TC) blends an indie vibe with influences of pop and country. Her vocals have a powerful intimacy with a sexy refined tone.

With an extensive touring background and shared performances with many of today's stars, the TC live shows are packed with entertainment from current hits in multiple genres (pop, country, rock) along with her original material. She is not defined or limited by one type of music, venue, or fan...and this is what makes her so good. Simply put, TC is an emerging force for women in music.

In 2011, Taryn released her last EP, 'Might As Well Be Me', produced by Grammy Award winning Nashville producer, Brien Fisher.

Taryn Jansen Bank Tomorrow Night At Fuso's!

July 25th 2015 7:30 to 10:30pm

Friday July 24th 2015 7:30-10:30pm

The Bob Jones Trio brings together three lifelong musicians with varied backgrounds in jazz, blues, R&B, jazz-fusion and progressive rock. The band is comprised of Bob Jones on keys and lead vocals, Marty Holland on bass and vocals and Guyle Taber on drums. Bob Jones, a world traveling jazz and blues artist, has played with renowned acts such as BB Coleman, Little Joe Blue, Chick Willis, and has opened up for James Brown, Wilson Pickett and War among others. Bassist-composer-producer Martin Holland, whose own music has been heard worldwide, has been associated with artists such as Melvin Seals, Stanley Turrentine, Joe Higgs, Buzzy Linhart, Henry Kaiser, Steve Kimock, Paul McCandleless, Warren Haynes, Kim Westin, Lenny Williams, Rodney Franklin and countless others in his nearly 40 years of work from performance to studio. Guyle Taber, a drummer for over 35 years, started early on as a snare drummer in drum & bugle corps, then on to numerous original material rock bands, fusion, progressive and techno style ensembles in addition to touring the northern CA, Oregon and Nevada areas as part of various cover bands playing dance club music.

Fun fact: The Bob Jones Trio had its start back in 1986 when Bob and Guyle played together in the initial version of the band."
